Killers Of The Flowers Moon Full Movie Overview

Based on a true story, Killers of the Flower Moon takes place in 1920s Oklahoma and centers on the Osage Nation, whose members became rich after oil was found below their land. When their newfound affluence leads to a string of murders of Osage community members, it triggers a national scandal. Set in a world of racial tension and institutional corruption, where most people—including those who are sworn to protect and serve—look the other way or engage in depravity, this is a tragedy in every sense of the word. The narrative follows the married life of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and an Osage woman named Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone).

Explore the manipulation, betrayal, and greed behind the horrors of the story through their relationship. William “King” Hale (Robert De Niro), Ernest’s uncle, soon becomes a major player organizing much of the violence being enacted on the Osage to rob them of their riches. These waking nightmares of unfillable graves ultimately spur a fledgling G-men watching over this growing nation that has a new director in a mustachioed J. Edgar Hoover who dispatches investigator Tom White (Jesse Plemons) to connect the dots of this depraved conspiracy.

However, as Tom White gets deeper he finds himself lured into an intricate web of lies, betrayal and blood in the water. FBI investigation reveals the full scope of the sordid crime, leading to an historic trial that shocks the nation. What follows is a sobering account of human greed and systemic racism in our society, how both can come together to consume innocent lives.
